Limbering is an integral part of any dancer’s regime. It uses a mixture of cardio, strengthening and stretching exercises to improve the all-round strength and flexibility of a dancer. Limbering teaches the dancer how to stretch and condition their muscles to aid composure, technique and protect their muscles from damage. It also helps to both tone the body and increase general fitness levels. Our limbering classes also always include ‘Corner Work’ which involves technical combinations in the form of various kick, leap and turn sequences, helping to instill into our dancers the basic core techniques, ready to be used in a wide variety dance routines.
